• Her current work is comprised of a variety of forms from boxes with drawers and figure sculpture to functional items such as serving trays and bowls. The thread that runs through the work is the surface decoration. Pieces are colored with slips, with or without transparent glazes. Some are coated with black slip and designs are carved through the surface into the clay (sgraffito). West African designs, leaves, and maps are her current favorite motifs. She fires her work to cone 10 in a gas kiln at Club Mud, the clay cooperative, in Eugene. Directions: From Hwy 99 in Cottage Grove, turn west on Washington Ave, one block south of Main St, go four blocks to 317 across from the Methodist Church.
