• For more than a quarter century, Maryanne and Dan Smith have created beautiful functional and nonfunctional high fire stoneware. Their large reduction kiln makes possible a broad scope of glaze techniques and wide range of sizes. Many forming methods are used to create a wide spectrum of work. The Smiths are always experimenting with new designs, shapes and methods from their beautiful five-acre farm property, which includes an early 20th century farmhouse, several gardens, a hazelnut orchard and grapevines. Directions: From I-5, take Exit 199 and drive towards Coburg. At the traffic light turn right onto N. Willamette (Coburg’s main street) and head north through town and past the Fire Station. Look for Stallings Lane (by the PP&L Substation) and turn right. Follow Stallings about 3/4 mile to 91508 on the left. Follow the driveway past the house to the studio.
