• LaVonne Tarbox-Crone paints with watercolors, pastel and collage to create works ranging from expressionistic realism to abstration. Many of her paintings are part of a still life series inspired by the architectural ruins she encountered on trips to Turkey, Greece, Italy, and France. The cracks and patina of these ancient stone surfaces are replicated in her works, using multiple layers of watercolor; focal points vary from unusual or personal objects to flowers in the gardens surrounding Tarbox-Crone’s studio.
